You can check into your room from 2 p.m. and arrive at your leisure. On the day of departure, we ask that you vacate your room by 11 a.m.

Yes. To confirm your booking, we require a deposit of 40% within 14 days of booking confirmation.

This may vary depending on the season. We will clearly state this in the offer before you make a binding booking.

We also accept credit cards (except Diners Club). Please check with your bank regarding availability abroad. The hotel bill must be paid upon departure at the latest.

Vacation with your dog in the Lesachtal Valley

Dogs are very welcome here. The Alpenhotel Wanderniki is the ideal place for a vacation with your dog in the Lesachtal Valley, especially for those who want to enjoy a vacation with their dog away from the crowds, a vacation with their dog in the mountains, and a vacation with their dog in nature.

We charge € 15 per night for your four-legged companion (without food). If necessary, a final cleaning fee of €40 will be charged.

To ensure that your vacation with your dog remains relaxed and enjoyable for all guests, we ask you to observe a few house rules and inform you about our services.

Leash policy

We ask you to keep your dog on a leash throughout the hotel area. This helps us avoid potential conflicts between dogs and ensures that all guests feel comfortable.

Hotel rooms

Please understand that any damage to furniture, doors, or carpets caused by your dog will be charged to your account.

If you leave your dog alone in the room, please hang the “NO” sign on the door. During this time, our staff will not enter the room and no room cleaning will be provided.

Please note that we offer specific room categories for guests traveling with dogs and that not all rooms are available for this purpose.

Restaurant area

Dogs are permitted in a designated area of the general restaurant area.

Tip: With advance notice, you can bring your dog with you for breakfast or dinner in our Steinwandstube restaurant (subject to availability).

Wellness area

For hygiene reasons, dogs are not allowed in the entire wellness area (sauna area, relaxation room).

On the hotel grounds

Please ensure that you keep the hotel grounds clean and remove any mess immediately. Free dog waste bags are available in the parking lot by the garages.

We also ask that you do not leave dogs unattended on the grounds.

Walking trails

Hiking trails to the Steineckenalm and Obergailer Alm start directly from the hotel with a beautiful walking path.

Here, your four-legged friend can run, play, and enjoy nature—ideal for a vacation with your dog in the countryside. Please always carry a dog waste bag with you and remove any waste outside the hotel grounds. Our farmers will thank you for it.

A surcharge is applied for single occupancy of a room, averaging between €15 and €25 per night.

Yes, our restaurant has different areas. We do our best to accommodate table requests, but cannot guarantee them.

We make sure to seat couples and families with small children in separate areas of the restaurant whenever possible. On warm summer days, breakfast and dinner is also available on our panoramic terrace.

Children's prices apply when children stay in the room with two full-paying adults.

To ensure that you are financially covered in the event of cancellation or interruption of your trip, we recommend the reliable travel insurance offered by Europäische Reiseversicherung AG. Take out your travel insurance now directly and easily. In addition, we recommend that you also familiarize yourself with the travel insurance benefits offered by your various credit cards.

Reservations and cancellations are only valid upon receipt of your written order and subsequent confirmation from us. The bill must be paid upon departure. You can pay in cash, by debit card, or credit card. 

• Up to 7 weeks before arrival: no charge
• 7 to 5 weeks before arrival: 20% of the room rate
• 5 weeks to 6 days before arrival: 70% of the room rate
• Up to 3 nights before departure and in case of early departure: 100% of the room price

Room cancellations are only valid made in writing. The cancellation costs also apply if the rooms are subsequently filled for part or all of the period.

If you only book bed and breakfast, €10 per person per day will be deducted from the daily rate.

We accept no liability for left or forgotten items. If we find left or forgotten items, we will be happy to send them back to you at cost price.

Our wellness area features four saunas, a salt cave, two sensory showers, a tea corner, and a panoramic relaxation room with garden access—a peaceful place to unwind after a day in the mountains.

As our hotel has deliberately remained small and intimate, the sauna is only switched on when needed. This allows us to save energy when it is not in use.

Simply register at the reception desk – registration is possible every day.

Once switched on, the wellness area remains open until 6:30 p.m.

Yes, we have two 11 kW charging stations with Type 2 plugs right next to the hotel. Payment is made using a chip card and can be added directly to your hotel bill.

Yes. You can travel by train and book your transfer from the train station to the hotel directly when booking your ticket through our mobility partner ÖBB. Once you arrive, the Lesachtal Card and regional mobility options will help you get around. With the Lesachtal Card, which is available to you during your stay, public transportation in the Lesachtal Valley is free of charge.
