Step 1:
- Book your train ticket through our mobility partner ÖBB.
- Select your destination station: Oberdrauburg station.
Step 2:
- When booking your train ticket on the ÖBB website, select the following option under “Extras at the destination”: ÖBB transfer from/to station Oberdrauburg
Step 3:
- Enter Alpenhotel Wanderniki as your accommodation
Step 4:
- Follow the further instructions on the ÖBB website and complete your purchase

By car
Due to numerous construction zones on the A10 Tauern Autobahn and the A13 Brenner Autobahn, we recommend planning your route via Kufstein-Kitzbühel-Felbertauern Tunnel. On the Brenner and Tauern autobahns, you should expect long traffic jams and significant delays on peak travel days.
Tip: The section of the A12 Inntal Motorway from the border “Kiefersfelden” crossing to “Kufstein-Süd” is toll-free for vehicles up to 3.5 tons. This means you don’t need to buy a vignette for your vacation in Austria!
You can park your car at our outdoor panorama car park; no underground parking is available. However, covered parking spaces for motorbikes are available on request.
By plane
Enjoy the Alpine panorama from the plane. There are several airports to choose from:
- Salzburg Airport (SZG)
- Klagenfurt Airport (KLU)
- Innsbruck Airport (INN)
- Venice – Marco Polo Airport (VCE)
At the respective airports, you can hire a car or travel by train. We would also be happy to arrange your airport transfer upon request. Feel free to contact us to help you book the best possible flight.
Which train station is the best option for traveling to the Lesachtal?
For the most relaxed journey possible, we recommend using Oberdrauburg Station as your destination.
How do I get from the train station to the Alpenhotel Wanderniki (last mile)?
Depending on your arrival time, there are various options for the last mile of your journey to the Lesachtal (e.g., shuttle, taxi, or bus). For the most relaxed journey possible, we recommend our station shuttle.
Can I arrange the transfer from the train station in advance?
Yes. We recommend planning your transfer as early as possible—ideally when you purchase your train ticket. With our mobility partner ÖBB, you can book your transfer to the Lesachtal Valley right when you book your train ticket. It’s a simple, one-step process.
If you’ve already booked your train ticket and just need the transfer, we’d be happy to help you book the shuttle so your trip remains stress-free.
Is it possible to arrive late in the evening, even if there are no more buses running?
Yes, in many cases, we can arrange transportation for the last mile of your journey even outside of regular bus hours. Please let us know your estimated arrival time, and we’ll find the best solution for you.
What is the best address to enter as the destination in my GPS or maps app?
